Summary: We had a lovely stay by Lake Orta. The apartment is in a fantastic location and it is easy to walk to a range of restaurants/ cafes and kayak/ paddleboard hire. The apartment on the second floor is well equiped, clean and full of character. I would note that it is not self enclosed. Some of the rooms (one bedroom, one toilet and the kitchen) open onto a landing which the owner's adult children and their friend needed to walk through to reach the room they were staying in the floor above. This was a bit of a surprise but they were very polite and not at all intrusive. The garden is lovely looking over the lake but as stated shared with other residents so could feel a bit busy on occasion. It was great having a garage directly across from the apartment, particularly one with an EV charger.We had some nice days out with our teenage children at the nearby alpine rollercoaster (Alpyland) and hiring a boat from Explora Beach, both of which we would recommend. Overall we had a great stay and Stefano and his family were lovely hosts.
